When it comes to softening signs of aging immediately, Restylane® treatments at Sarasota Plastic Surgery are an excellent choice. Restylane is formulated to restore volume under the skin to smooth away a variety of wrinkles and folds on the face from marionette lines, which drop from the corners of the mouth along the chin, to the deeper nasolabial folds, which run from the nose to the outer corners of the mouth. We also use Restylane to sculpt and plump the lips in order to restore a more youthful shape or give you the fullness you never had.

About Restylane

One of our advanced dermal fillers, Restylane contains hyaluronic acid, a substance that is naturally found in the body. With age and exposure to gravity and the sun, hyaluronic acid in the skin breaks down and its production slows, causing the skin to sag, become thinner, and form wrinkles and folds. By increasing hyaluronic acid in the skin, Restylane helps it look more plump and youthful.

Treatments

Restylane treatments at Sarasota Plastic Surgery are as simple as a few quick injections beneath the targeted areas with a fine needle. There is minimal pain involved, but you can choose to have a local anesthetic if you have any concerns. This simple office procedure takes only minutes to perform and you'll see results right away. Perlane®, another filler in the Restylane family, is an excellent alternative for deeper wrinkles and folds. Sarasota Plastic Surgery is now offering Restylane-L®, the newest version of Restylane available. It combines soothing lidocaine with hyaluronic acid and makes treatments essentially painless. Our doctors will help you decide which filler is right for you.

Many of our patients choose a combination treatment of Restylane with BOTOX® Cosmetic for greater enhancement that lasts. Our doctors will help you decide which combination will work best for you.

Once your treatment is complete, you can go about your day as usual, with the benefit of fuller, smoother skin. We recommend that you visit us periodically for touch-ups to keep your improvements going. If you have a follow-up treatment after 4.5 to 9 months, your improvements can last as long as 18 months. Lip sculpting with Restylane can last about 6 months.
